Joan Waters, Chief Executive Officer
When Joan arrived at COFCO in 1988, it was clear that she had found the company that was the perfect fit. The authenticity that emanated throughout the team made her feel immediately at home. She brought with her invaluable industry experience, a high level of professionalism and a passion for a relationship-centric approach to the business.
Joan believes “at the core of what we do, is finding the right combination to get the right things done for our clients, every time.” And it is through Joan’s strong leadership that clients experience this every time they work with COFCO.
Joan graduated from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, where she was a member of the women’s basketball program. She remains an active supporter of and advocate for women’s athletics.
Joan is a board member for AWE (Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs), the mid-Atlantic region’s largest organization dedicated to fostering high-growth businesses founded or led by women. She serves as an advisory board member for the School of Business Administration at Widener University, and is also a member of Impact100 Philadelphia, a women’s philanthropic organization that funds initiatives in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Joan dedicates much of her time to the fight against cancer and raising money to help find a cure for this disease.
Alan Einstein, Chairman of the Board
When Alan joined his father at COFCO in 1970, it was the beginning of a life-long career. Alan’s tremendous respect for his father drove his desire to work in the family business. With new ideas and innovative solutions, he has led COFCO’s significant growth and expansion for more than 40 years. Alan counts hiring Joan Waters as one of his best professional decisions, and continues to embody COFCO’s steadfast commitment for making the right things happen for our clients. Alan strives to maintain long-term relationships with our key partners and teammates, which contributes to upholding our financial stability.
A graduate of Villanova and Philadelphia-native, Alan enjoys travel and spending time at the Jersey Shore. As he plans to retire in the next few years, he looks forward to spending time with his family including visiting craft shows with his wife Nancy and rooting for the home team at various Philadelphia sporting events.
Alan is very proud of his family’s legacy and the strength and reputation of COFCO in the marketplace. He took over as COFCO’s Chairman of the Board in early 2015.
Brianne Kelly, Director of Client Management & Process Implementation
In addition to heading up COFCO’s Client Management team, Brianne is responsible for implementing and training on standard processes throughout the organization. Her industry and management experience combined with her strategic mindset make her an invaluable asset to our leadership team and to our clients.
Christy Spencer, VP of Operations
Christy oversees the COFCO project management, warehouse, delivery, installation and logistics teams and ensures that the facilities are running smoothly and efficiently. As a former COFCO designer and project manager, her field experience has provided her with the skills and knowledge to expertly run the operations side of the business.
Dean Molz, VP of Sales
Dean joined the COFCO team in 2014 and brought with him a tremendous amount of industry experience. His strategic planning abilities coupled with his expertise in building new accounts while retaining existing clients has accelerated COFCO’s growth.
Jeanna Borgia, Controller
With over 14 years of experience in both public and corporate accounting, Jeanna has gotten the opportunity to see the bigger picture in a corporate environment. She is involved in all aspects of our accounting department which enables her to streamline processes and procedures to help align the department with the company’s forward progress.
Jessica Paulshock, VP of Administration
Jessica originally joined COFCO in 2005 as marketing & bid coordinator. In her current role she works closely with Joan Waters to oversee all administrative aspects of the business. She enjoys the versatility that her position offers and the fact that it allows her to interact with all departments within the company.
Jim Waters, Director of Operations
Jim Waters is no stranger to the world of operations. With 19 years of experience at a large distribution company, he is well-versed in trucking, warehousing and storage. Jim brings his expertise to COFCO during a time of corporate growth, and that knowledge will be invaluable to our future success.
Tim Jacobson, Director of Asset Management
Starting out as a delivery specialist, Tim quickly exhibited strong leadership qualities and often took the lead on complicated installations. When the need for support in COFCO’s asset management department arose, Tim proved the best candidate to run that side of the business. This role allows Tim puts his extensive product knowledge to use while also interacting with other COFCO departments.
