Giving back to the community is an important part of COFCO’s philosophy of “doing the right thing.”
In 2016 we were thrilled to become involved with Kensington High School via City Year.
City Year is a non-profit made up of young adults who want to make a difference in the lives of students at struggling Philadelphia schools.
In early December, the COFCO management team visited Kensington High School, just a few blocks away, and met with the folks from City Year to discuss how we can make a difference at the school.
Our first initiatives have included a winter coat drive, as many of the students at the high school don’t have proper winter-wear. We also made a donation to City Year Philadelphia in honor of Kensington High, in the hopes of making a difference.
We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with City Year and helping our “adopted” school, Kensington High, with their future needs.
