COFCO understands the importance of staffing a strong design department while at the same time continually making significant investment in technological resources. The ability to specify thoughtfully and accurately is an essential start to the design process. Our staff designers are experienced and factory-trained and are extremely valuable members of each COFCO sales team. Having worked extensively with our major product lines, Cofco designers make significant contribution to client projects in the area of furniture specification and selection. In addition, COFCO designers are an excellent resource to outside architects and designers as well.
COFCO utilizes AutoCAD and CAP software, industry standards that efficiently interface with our business software program, Team Design. This package provides COFCO with the ability to accurately carry all of our information from drawing to invoice and service thereafter. All of this is done in the timeliest manner possible in order not to delay project timelines. These programs also enable us to establish an electronic link with outside architects and designers and with some of our corporate end-users. In addition, we can also do the same with our major manufacturers who enter and acknowledge our orders electronically (EDI). This seamless process saves valuable time and virtually eliminates the chance of transfer errors along the way.
COFCO’s technical and creative services include the following:
- Evaluating project requirements, assessing of existing facilities, interviewing personnel and developing budgets and schedules.
- Generating detailed inventories of existing product and evaluating it for possible reuse by integration with new product.
- Developing workstation and corporate standards.
- Preparing detailed space plans, technical drawings and specifications showing the physical layout of the space, including all personnel, equipment and organizational elements.
- Providing project administration to support the overall success of every project.
- Operating within budget and timeframe.
- Assisting with color schemes and accessory items.
