Their corporate and institutional customers who often move and reconfigure their office furniture have consistently demanded and have received high quality products. Companies that have purchased furniture from these manufacturers may ultimately refurnish their offices, downsize or close a location. This has created availability of well-made furniture on the secondary market at attractive prices for the pre-owned furniture buyer. Offered at a fraction of the new price, these items are typically new discontinued floor samples or factory imperfects. Some of the new closeout furniture is obtained by COFCO on the open market as a result of a special bulk purchase or as manufacturer’s closeouts.
