Growth, expansion and change is something we at COFCO have experienced first-hand over our 60 years in business. This is also the case with many of our core clients. Furnishing expansion space with all new furniture is something most dealers can handle. However, the task becomes much more complicated and challenging when the client wants to move and reuse their existing furniture – usually over a weekend. This process entails takedown, moving, reconfiguring, adding-to and disposition of surplus product. At COFCO, we accomplish these tasks on a weekly basis for our client – and we are good at it!

COFCO has the team players in Design Support, Project Management and Operations with the required talents to make any move a successful one. Our quality furniture is designed to take the strain of moving and reconfiguring. Reuse of existing assets gives our clients a better return on their original investment. Cost of ownership should be important to any end-user and at COFCO, we help reduce that cost by helping our clients manage their furniture investment for maximum return. We will inventory standing and stored product and “design-in” to the reconfiguration as much of that existing furniture as possible. This helps minimize the “need list” of new product – specifications of which we would develop in the next step. All of this must be done while taking into consideration the phasing of the project so that we have the existing parts and pieces available when needed during the installation.

A COFCO Project Manager is often a part of the client’s move management team to help insure a timely flow with minimal downtime. At the end of the installation, there are normally furniture items that cannot be utilized in the new configuration. We can either move that product into a client storage area or warehouse, dispose of it, or bring it into a COFCO warehouse. COFCO’s state-of-the-art warehouse facility has over 100,000 square feet of storage capacity. If there is a chance of reuse, we recommend that it be saved, inventoried and safely stored for use in a future project. COFCO’s inventory management software, Asset WIN, is industry tested and can provide accurate inventory lists when needed.
